Saturday, December 29 2012 (CAR POOL EXISTS) Car hike Level II/III – Iroquoia, Dundas Valley (Maps 7/8)
22 km 4.5 km/hr Hilly, Challenging
No dropout, Hiking boots, No dogs, Pub stop after.
We will car shuttle to Km 33.4, Map 7 and hike back through Chedoke Park and Dundas Valley Conservation Area. Full Details________________________________________
Sunday, December 30 2012 Car hike Level II – Iroquoia, Waterdown(Maps 8/9)LENGTH OF HIKE PACE TERRAIN
20 km 3.5 km/hr Rocky, Variable
No dropout, Hiking boots.Depart 9 am, Km 55.2 on Woodley’s Lane in Dundas, near the end of King St West, the main street of Dundas.
Iroquoia can be beautiful in the winter – maybe the waterfalls will be iced over. We will shuttle the cars to the start near Km 75 on Kerns Rd, and walk back through Grindstone Creek, Clappison Woods, and Borer’s Falls Conservation Area. Bring your icers for the trail and a thermos of hot tea or soup. Full Details
Hike The Bruce Trail on a New Years Day Hike with the Halton Hills Chapter
Tuesday, January 1st, 2013 TERRA COTTA
Level 1, 6 – 8 km loop hike. Depart 10:30 a.m. from meeting place Georgetown. Bring in the new year with a
hike on the Bruce Trail and Terra Cotta Trails with a lunch/ refreshment stop on the trail. Bring water, snack,

Tuesday, January 1 2013 Car hike Level II – Toronto Section, Hilton Falls DURATION OF HIKE PACE TERRAIN
3.0 hrs 3.5 km/hr Mostly flat, Variable
Dropout, Families, Hiking boots, Refreshments after, Bring ice footwear, a snack lunch (turkey sandwiches optional) and something to drink.
Depart 11 am, Meet in the parking lot of the Hilton Falls Conservation Area. Note that an admission fee will need to be paid in accordance with Conservation Halton policy.
Exit Hwy 401 at either Guelph Line or Halton 25, and take Campbellville Rd, 5th Sideroad.

An opportunity to keep that New Year resolution to get more exercise, and walk off some of the excess of the night before! (Note the late start time.) Join us for the annual loop hike around the many paths and trails in the conservation area. Dogs permitted, but must be leashed and owners scoop the poop. After the hike those who want to can repair to a local franchise of “Canada’s coffee shop” for some of their delicious hot beverages. We will have earned it.________________________________________

Dropout, No dogs.
Depart 1 pm, Leslie Street Spit.
Leslie St at Unwin Ave, gate at entrance to Spit. Lots of parking spaces or walk down south from the Queen streetcar.

Repeat of an annual event to start the New Year off on the right foot. There is usually quite a crowd, so arrive at least a half hour before departure so we can leave on time. An opportunity will be provided to make a donation to the Escarpment Legacy Fund
Thursday, January 3 2013 Car hike Level II – Peninsula, Colpoy’s Bay (Maps 35/36)LENGTH OF HIKE PACE TERRAIN
8 km 3 km/hr Variable, Snowy
No dropout, Dogs welcome, Refreshments after, Pre-registration by Email to Leader.
Depart 9 am, Tim Hortons, Wiarton.
Hwy 6 north to Wiarton.
