50km Trail Blazers Challenge

June 24, 2012 from 07:00 AM until 07:00 PM Bruce Trail through Caledon Hills to Mono Cliffs Provincial Park

One day. Fifty kilometres. 3,100,000 steps closer to a protected Niagara Escarpment.*

This summer, be one of 50 hikers to take part in a unique, long-distance hike along a fantastic section of the Bruce Trail, and help raise funds for the BTC.
You’ll follow in the footsteps of the trail blazers of 1962 – those who blazed, mapped and created the Bruce Trail 50 years ago. And at the same time, you’ll help the BTC continue the crucial work of securing a conservation corridor along the Niagara Escarpment, containing this tremendous trail.
The Hike: Sunday, June 24th 50 km through the Caledon Hills, ending at Mono Cliffs Provincial Park.
Hikers will be treated to a pre-hike rally, a shuttle bus to the trailhead, refreshment stations, a post-hike feast and celebration, and a commemorative badge. Participation will be capped at 50 hikers

The Cause: Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $500 to register. The funds raised will go towards BTC’s Anniversary Goal to secure, steward and make available to the public 5,000 additional acres of Niagara Escarpment landscape containing the Bruce Trail by 2017.
