Get Out Into the Woods!

Let Us Help You Get Over the Winter Blahs. Join the Toronto Bruce Trail Club’s 2012 Spring Hiker Initiation Program!

Organized hiking with the Bruce Trail Conservancy and other hiking clubs offers

healthy exercise and the opportunity to meet fellow hikers, who like to traverse

pathways leading to spectacular hill-top vistas, tumbling waterfalls, forest glades,

meadows sprinkled with yellow, red and purple wildflowers, and all the other

good things off the roads and highways.

For those who would like to know more about hiking the trails in Southern Ontario, the Toronto Bruce Trail Club is offering a Hiker Initiation Program. This will include three elements:

1. A presentation on the ins-and-outs of hiking by experienced Hike Leaders will take place on Monday, April 16th commencing at 6:30pm.

2. A visit to the well known Mountain Equipment Co-op (400 King Street West) on Thursday, April 19th, to for a talk about & try new hiking equipment, including: boots, socks, knapsacks, clothing, poles, water containers, and other hiking accessories.

3. A scenic 10km loop hike on Sunday, April 29th will take place on the Bruce Trail Conservancy main trail and side trails at Scotsdale Farm (administered by the Ontario Heritage Foundation).
