Celebrating 50 Years of The Toronto Bruce Trail Club

Come one, come all to the  Toronto Bruce Trail Club’s

50th Anniversary Gala Founders Dinner!

On June 28th 2012 we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of Toronto Club, the oldest of the nine member clubs in the Bruce Trail Conservancy.

The first meeting of Toronto Club was held at Toronto Botanical Gardens (Edwards Gardens) on June 28th 1962. Two of the four founders of the Bruce Trail, Philip Gosling and Norman Pearson, are still with us today and have been invited to attend this anniversary Founders Dinner, which will be held at the same location.

The Founders Dinner will be a fundraising event. Any profits from the event will be presented to the Bruce Trail Conservancy as a contribution from the Toronto Club. This money will be used for land acquisition and stewardship, helping us achieve our long-term goal of securing the Niagara Escarpment. A number of very special prizes will be available through a silent auction at this event.

While we hope that as many as possible of our members will attend this event, it is not restricted to Bruce Trail members only. Please let any of your friends know who may want to participate in this celebration and help our club prepare for the next exciting fifty years.

Further details including ticket price will be made available soon.
